Different types of Animation
- Digital Animation- Creating an illusion of movement of graphics and or text
- Frame-Based Animation - A series of individual still frames that create the illusion of animation when viewed continuosly
- Vector Animation- Using computer generated formulas to make objects in the animation along a path
- 2D Animation- Uses two dimensions of movement
- 3D Animation- Uses three dimensions of movement

A common web animation that cannot produce sound and only supports frame based animation and 256 colors.

Frame-based or vector supported animation that has a quick load time and supports ActionScript coding and user interactivity.
